Frequently Asked Questions about our Substrate Mounting service.
Do I need to supply images with bleed?
Yes please. We ideally require 5mm of extra image (or bleed) around your artwork. This bleed will allow us trim through your artwork once mounted and to make sure no white paper is showing around the edges of the finished mounted print.
If you are unable to create bleed around your image, please let us know and we’ll size your image accordingly. This may result in a small amount of image lost to trimming, we’ll be able to send you a mock up of the final product to approve before proceeding with your order if required.
I need a different/specific wall fixing, is that possible?
The wall fixing options we have selected for our substrates – velcro, push in hangers and subframes – are popular/common fixings and we believe they will cover 99% of briefs. However, if you require an alternative fixing, we will be happy to work with you to fulfil your requirements. Please contact us for more information.
Can we laminate mounted prints?
Yes. This is available on request, laminates only work on certain papers and depending on the finish, they can dull the print. Please contact us for more information.
Can we varnish mounted prints?
